Looking Beyond Covid
Monday, March 1, 2021
Dear Educator,
This past year has been like no other.
At Townsend Press, we have witnessed firsthand the heroic efforts of teachers working to serve their students during the pandemic. We have been inspired by what we’ve seen. We have also tried to help. Last March, we provided free access nationwide to our entire digital catalog. In June, we discounted digital license pricing by 20%. Now as we look ahead to fall 2021—a time we hope will return to in-person instruction—we are taking additional steps. Here’s our plan:
- We are extending our 20% price cut for digital licenses* of 50 or more students. Why? To ease the budget crunch brought on by Covid-19. This offer includes all digital products: Ten Steps Plus, Reading-Writing Plus, English Plus, Vocabulary Plus, and our all-in-one option, Total Access. New digital offerings for the Townsend LIbrary, Bluford Series, and Reading Unlimited also qualify.
- We are reducing the price of printed textbooks by 20%* for institutional/bulk purchases of 50 or more copies. Why? To give hard-copy options to students and educators who, after a year online, might need a break from screen time. This offer includes all our textbooks (the Ten Steps Series, Vocabulary Series, our English/grammar titles and more).
- We are extending $2 pricing for all our paperbacks and leveled readers. Why? To provide affordable, high-interest books to students who may have experienced declining literacy skills during the pandemic. This nonprofit price includes all Bluford Series, King School Series, and Townsend Library titles.
*These offers are available now through the end of August 2021!* We hope they energize your plans for next year, giving you new options and extending your budget. Please reach out to our Customer Service team if you have questions. We also offer live technical support to assist you whenever you need it. As always, we stand with you and your students, and we look forward to better times (and full classrooms) in the coming year.
*Programs that directly serve students and purchase 50 or more subscriptions
or books qualify for our reduced pricing. Resellers and bookstores do not.
