Townsend Press is an educational publisher of an acclaimed series of reading, vocabulary, and writing textbooks for the school and college markets. We also publish, through our nonprofit foundation, an affordable library of original and classic paperbacks.
Our mission at TP is twofold. First, we strive to create high-quality, reasonably-priced textbooks that help students learn the language skills needed for success. Second, we seek to promote reading by publishing a library of compelling $1 paperbacks, sponsoring scholarship contests, distributing reading motivation posters, and donating books to schools and community organizations.
At TP, we have a reputation for fast, friendly, effective service. Educators soon discover that if they want books for classes and they have their bookstore phone in the order that day, the books will be shipped by the next morning. Requests for desk and examination copies will also be filled within 24 hours. Our promise to teachers is: “We’ll do our best to help you help students learn. You have our word on it.”
